OFFCUTS

February 2020, London

'OFFCUTS' is a chair that was imagined, designed and engineered by Sille Berlesten @silleeva, created solely from using waste materials from around the Royal College of Art. Everything from the wood, to nails, the textiles, even the thread.

The textiles were cotton scraps found in the fashion & textiles department. In the spirit of ‘waste’, the canteen saved up their onion skins, and used them to get a range of yellows and oranges for the upper textiles of the chair.
